Adaptation Music’s Tom Conrad returns to the label after a short hiatus with his new two tracker entitled ‘New York EP’ following on from his last successful outing, ‘Streetlife EP’ earlier in the year.
The title track ‘New York’ hails back to the early East Coast sound with a slice of Chicago thrown in for good measure. Infectious rhythms and warm atmospheric chord stabs dominate amidst the vocals and intermittent lush piano. Tried and tested to good effect in various clubs so far in 2019, this is one not to miss. On the B side of ‘New York EP’ is the track entitled ‘Horizon’ which is another peak time early house influenced gem with infectious chord stabs that build throughout the track and complete a strong EP.
