Adaptation Music welcomes back talented Dutch DJ and producer El Funkador alongside U.S vocalist Lee Wilson for his third release on the label following on from the brilliant ‘Jazzy Conditions’ and ‘Embracement’.

Opening the release is a a superb peak time main room track with solid beats, a catchy full vocal, infectious stabs and a funky bassline all of which combined is a track which is sure to have mainstream appeal.

Next up is a jazzy soulful rework by Tom Conrad packed with lush chords, jazzy rhodes keys, live bass, funky guitar and hypnotic use of Lee’s catchy vocal.

Rotterdam based El Funkador has been releasing music for the last decade on labels such as Purveyor Underground, Fogbank, Mood Funk and Juiced Music to name but a few. Ranked as #4 top vocalist on Traxsource in 2021, East Coast based Lee Wilson is no stranger to the scene having worked with some of the biggest international producers and labels.

Adaptation’s 121st release is a deep, smooth and funky soulful house track from Tom Conrad entitled ‘Soul Protocol’.

The aptly named ‘Soul Protocol’ is Tom’s second soulful release of 2022 which is an ode to the late 70s and early 80s soul sound with smooth chords and keys, sublime rhodes piano, funky bass line and two distinct vocal messages within the track. This release follows on from the popular ‘Love Satisfaction’ which was a top #20 track on U.S download site Traxsource.

This is Tom’s 7th release so far in 2022 following on from releases on HIVE Label, Ginkgo Music, TOSNC and Adaptation Music with many more on the way under his various aliases which include both Thylacinus and Caliorange, with his first ever vinyl album due for summer release.

Adaptation’s first release of 2021 is a single from Tom Conrad featuring Chemars entitled ‘The Dreamtime’ which is a fusion of both Soulful and Jackin House with early support from John ‘Jellybean’ Benitez, Quentin Harris, Eric Kupper, Mr V and more.

After a brief hiatus of using his own name for productions, Tom Conrad returns alongside fellow European producer Chemars with a dreamy, uplifting and atmospheric fusion of deep, soulful and jackin house with influences of 80s soul complete with live rhodes and bass. This is one not to miss!

The last year saw Tom create a hip hop album under his ‘Thylacinus’ alias and put out several deep house releases under his ‘Caliorange’ alias alongside Matt Correa following on from his last Adaptation release ‘Twisted Jazz EP’. The new year heralds a busy production schedule on multiple fronts so look out for plenty more music over the coming months.

Adaptation Music introduces the first single from Caliorange, the alias of Tom Conrad (UK) and Matt Correa (Spain), ‘Acquiescence’ backed up by three top remixes.

First up is Norwegian based producer Ivaylo, fresh from the release of his latest album with a fantastic deep and tribal remix akin to the early days of deep house. Next up is London based producer Finest Wear, returning after his remix on Adaptation #100 who turns in a great old school house rework showcasing once again why he’s one of the most consistent producers within the deep house scene. Sandwiched inbetween the remixes sits the original version which is deep, dreamy and hypnotic track, also with an old school feel. Last but not least is a top remix from US west coast producer Rithma, who delivers his unique fusion sound to the label for the first time and completes an all round solid first release for Caliorange.

Caliorange was formed in 2020 by Tom Conrad and Matt Correa, with remixes already released on Mindloop Music and Bosh Recordings and their first EP signed to a top US label. There will be much more on the way from the duo over the coming months.
